This policy is compliant with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and e-commerce guidelines issued by the Government of India.

Return Eligibility and Timeframe

General Return Period

Customers have the right to return eligible products within 7 days of delivery for a full refund.

Eligible Products for Return

The following products are eligible for return:

Defective or Damaged Goods: Products with manufacturing defects, damage during shipping, or mechanical failures

Misrepresented Products: Items that do not match the description, specifications, or images provided on our website or in-store

SKU Mismatch: Wrong product delivered

Unopened/Unused Components: Unused bike parts, accessories, and apparel in original condition with intact tags and packaging

Change of Mind: Products returned in original, unused condition (within 7 days)

Non-Returnable Products

The following products cannot be returned or will receive store credit only:

Custom-Built Bicycles: Bicycles assembled or modified to customer specifications cannot be returned for cash refund (exchange or store credit available)

Used or Worn Components: Products that show signs of use, scratches, paint chips, or wear

Bike Fitting Services: Labor and professional bike fitting services are non-refundable once rendered

Workshop Services: Maintenance, repair, and assembly labor

Clearance/Sale Items: Products marked as "Clearance" or "Final Sale"

Personalized Items: Custom graphics, engravings, or personalized components

Software and Digital Products: E-books, digital guides, or software licenses

Condition Requirements for Returns

Acceptable Return Condition

To be eligible for a full refund, returned products must meet ALL of the following conditions:

Unused and Unassembled: The product has not been used, tested, or installed

Original Packaging: Item is in its original packaging with no damage to the box

All Components Included: All original parts, accessories, manuals, warranty cards, freebies, and documentation are included

Tags and Labels Intact: All price tags, product labels, barcodes, and stickers remain attached and undamaged

No Alterations: No modifications, adjustments, or alterations have been made to the product

Partial Refunds

Returned products that do not meet the above conditions may receive a partial refund after assessment, with deductions for:

Wear and tear

Scratches or paint chips

Missing components or accessories

Missing documentation or warranty cards

Packaging damage

Deduction amounts will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and communicated to the customer before processing.

Refund Denial

Cyclogen reserves the right to deny a refund and return the product to you if:

The product is used, damaged, or in unacceptable condition

Tags or labels have been removed or damaged

Photos of the product and packaging (if defective)

Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)

Receive Return Authorization: Cyclogen will provide a Return Authorization (RA) number and return address

Ship the Product: Pack the product securely in original packaging and ship to the return address provided

Return Shipping

Customer-Initiated Returns (Change of mind, wrong size, preferences): Return shipping charges borne by customer

Defective/Damaged Products: Return shipping charges borne by Cyclogen. We provide prepaid return labels for eligible returns

Wrong Item Delivered: Return shipping charges borne by Cyclogen

Processing Timeline

Return Receipt: Upon receipt at our warehouse, your return will be processed within 5-7 business days

Inspection: Products are inspected for condition and completeness

Refund Decision: You will receive notification of approval or partial refund deductions

Refund Issuance: Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days after inspection

Preferred Method: Refunds are credited directly to your original payment method:

UPI: Refunded immediately upon processing

Wallet/Digital Payment: Refunded to original account within 2-3 business days

COD (Cash on Delivery): Bank transfer to provided account number

Store Credit Option

Customers may choose to receive a full refund as store credit (100% of purchase price), which provides:

Coupon code for use on future purchases at Cyclogen

Valid for 12 months from date of issue

No expiration without prior notice

Applicable to in-store and online purchases

Store credit does not expire for the initial 12 months, but extended validity requires written request.

Replacement Option

For defective or damaged products, Cyclogen may offer:

Free Replacement: Same or equivalent product shipped at no cost

Product Exchange: Exchange for different product of equal or higher value

Partial Refund + Replacement: Combination of refund and replacement if exact product unavailable

Partial Damage: Free replacement or refund with adjustment for visible defects

No deduction applies to refunds for manufacturing or shipping defects.

Warranty and Defect Coverage

Manufacturer Warranty

Products are covered under manufacturer warranty:

Bikes and Frames: 2-5 years (varies by brand and model)

Components (SRAM, Shimano, etc.): 2-3 years

Wheels and Hubs: 2-3 years

Accessories: 1-2 years (varies by type)

Warranty covers manufacturing defects but excludes wear and tear, normal use, and maintenance costs.

Warranty Service Process

For warranty claims:

Product assessment by our qualified technicians

Repair or replacement per manufacturer specifications

Shipping fees typically borne by customer unless covered by warranty

Special Cases

Bikes Assembled or Test-Ridden

Bicycles that have been assembled by our workshop, test-ridden, or customized cannot be returned for cash refund but are eligible for:

Exchange: Swap for different bike model of equal or higher value

Store Credit: 100% of purchase price as store credit

Partial Return: Accept trade-in value toward new purchase

Imported Products

For products imported directly from Europe, USA, or other countries:

Return period: 30 days from delivery

Original customs documentation must be available

Return shipping to original location (may incur additional charges)

Discontinued Products

If a product is discontinued and exact replacement unavailable:

Comparable Alternative: Exchange for similar product

Store Credit: Full refund as store credit

What You Must Do
